Getting to Sipora Island (Mentawai)
 

• By Sea (Ferry to Tuapejat):
  The most common way is by fast ferry from Padang, West Sumatra. The Mentawai Fast Ferry runs several times a week, taking about 3–4 hours to reach Tuapejat, the main town on Sipora. The ride offers scenic views of the Indian Ocean and is a great choice if you’re carrying surfboards or luggage.

• By Air (Susi Air to Rokot Airport):
  For the fastest option, take a Susi Air flight from Minangkabau International Airport (Padang) directly to Rokot Airport on Sipora. The flight takes around 40 minutes, and from the small local airport it’s just a short transfer to Tuapejat or your accommodation.
   

Both options are reliable and connect Padang with Sipora year-round, making the island an accessible starting point for exploring the Mentawais.
